Heart of the home

This kitchen design, styled around Jane Galloway’s art piece “A Place in My Heart,” reflects a modern Scandinavian style with clean lines, a soft neutral palette, and natural textures that bring warmth and calm.

The Big Cottage Restoration

This project is dedicated to restoring a 1920s classic New Zealand cottage, preserving every detail that speaks to its heritage and charm. With a home rich in memories and stories, it deserves thoughtful design to help share its history.

Hallway - A warm welcome at the heart of this 1920s cottage restoration. Timber paneling, soft floral wallpaper, and a few timeless pieces come together to celebrate the home’s original character. Vintage artwork and simple details add a touch of nostalgia; keeping the space calm, inviting, and full of quiet charm.

Lounge - A heritage lounge; rich timber flooring and vintage-inspired wallpaper set the tone for a warm, nostalgic interior. A classic leather Chesterfield and plaid armchair create an inviting balance of texture and character, while botanical prints and aged accents nod to early-century craftsmanship. Layered with natural tones and tactile finishes, honouring its heritage roots while offering a refined sense of comfort and storytelling.

Double Bedroom - Heritage Double Bedroom; grounded in classic English country character. Delicate florals, rich timber hues and a traditional iron bedstead shape a room that feels layered with history and softly worn in. Muted neutrals, antique-inspired details and textured finishes come together to create a restful, nostalgic retreat with enduring cottage appeal.

The Terracotta House

For this home, the vision was to create a space that feels serene and lived-in, where comfort is found in natural textures and honest materials. Arched windows, exposed timber beams, and a palette of rich earth tones set the tone. Warm browns, olive greens, muted taupes and soft off-whites work together to bring a sense of depth and calm, while embracing the imperfect beauty that defines this timeless style.

Living room and reading nook - This space combines terracotta floors and timber beams with comfy, earthy pieces. An olive sofa, white armchair on a jute rug, and a cozy window seat make it feel relaxed, while an olive tree and natural textures add warmth and charm.

Kitchen - A warm, textured kitchen with terracotta tiles, dark timber cabinetry, and a stone splashback creates a calm, timeless feel. Natural materials, earthy tones, exposed beams, and handcrafted details bring a relaxed, lived-in charm.

Master Bedroom - Calm and airy for the master bedroom, with cream walls, floor-to-ceiling white curtains outlining the black-framed windows. A pale pinstripe duvet and layered pillows keep the bed light, accented by a striped lumbar cushion. Dark timber bedside tables and rustic ceramic lamps add warmth, while a jute rug and sculptural bench complete the understated, sophisticated look.

Double Bedrooms - These two double bedrooms each embrace natural warmth and texture; one with earthy tones of clay, ochre, and sand layered with soft white linen, dark timber, woven rugs, and jute rope lamps for a grounded Mediterranean-inspired mood; the other with cream walls, white curtains, a rattan headboard, crisp white bedding, a charcoal-striped throw, timber bedside tables, and woven sconces for a light, inviting feel.
